For infographics I explain why this graphic will be great for their readers & maybe include other sites that have used the graphic as well.

With any outreach you can't force them to use your content, not my style anyways, the best you can do is explain how it's a benefit to them and then it's up to them if they want to post it.

If the content/graphic is not high quality or a bad fit for their readers they probably won't post.

Let me know if you have any other questions about outreach or Buzzstream, I'm glad to help.

Re: How To Build Links For Assets In No Time With Buzzstream

Very informative post.... now I just need to test out Buzzstream...

I do have a question... when you are emailing prospects are you just letting them know you are sharing the infographic because you think if may be of interest to their readers... and hope they use it?

Re: List of Photo Sites For Linkbuilding

cool list

Re: Talking Ecommerce SEO With Bill Sebald

Actually, the hashtag was the synthesis of many different stories rolled into one. I think that when the story regarding the @content_muse incident made its way back to the East Coast, some friends familiar with similar situations felt compelled to dedicate the #sebald hashtag accordingly. As a result, whenever whenever a member of the local SEO community manages to live up to the name... they receive this badge of honor.

Re: Organize Your Life With Evernote

Glad you like it Gary!

Re: Organize Your Life With Evernote

This is awesome find, Benjamin!
I actually removed stumble upon from my site's sharebar because I was seeing the same thing, lots of times it sent traffic, but the traffic was so low-quality that it almost serves no purpose - not to mention that low on-page metrics (high bounce rate, low time on site, low # of pages per visit) could actually potentially hurt your organic rankings.

Re: How To Use Social Media To Your Advantage Like Anthony Pensabene

You nailed this comment my friend! There are exceptions of course but I've definitely had some amazing conversations with people who aren't household names, although Anthony Mensa Penne really should be followed by anyone with a brain.

Re: How To Use Social Media To Your Advantage Like Anthony Pensabene

Excellent, Ben. Anthony has a way of bringing out the best interactions from me. Hardly any of my responses were SFW, but it's hard to get me to engage a thank you tweet, because it seems redundant/unnecessary. I try to hit everyone with a personal thank you and it eats up my day and doesn't elicit any further discussion. Pensabene was vague, but he nailed it.

Re: How To Use Social Media To Your Advantage Like Anthony Pensabene

Wow - dude. I'm most humbled and appreciative you take notice. I would say people should listen to you :) .

Thank you so much for your peer support and additions to the community, Ben.

I look forward to more discussion with you, as well as great minds in the Philly area (Eubanks, John-Henry, David, and the one-and-only #Sebald, and others).

Hey, man. Thank you. :)

Re: Talking CRO With Nick Eubanks

Fantastic Interview Ben!

Thank Nick for sharing some of the important points to successful CRO. I agree with you that we should not just focus on the end game but also on "micro-conversions" like sign-up & time on site which now a days most of the companies forget to see.

But I feel that every traffic will not generate conversion like traffic from Stumbleupon where we get around 200 daily but the conversion is 0 & the time on site is 10 to 15 sec which is overall very bad. I hope you can advice something on this.

Thanks.

Re: Talking CRO With Nick Eubanks

Hey Ben - Thanks so much for this opportunity to share some thoughts, this was a lot of fun!

Re: Tips For Speeding Up The Outreach Process (Guest Post)

Hi Matthew,

It seems pretty cool but it is limiting to twitter and google+. I imagine they will add more in the future perhaps. You might also want to check out Engagio which integrates with most of the social networks and focuses on the conversations in these networks. I am bit biased (since I worked for them:) but I think they are great service.

Re: Talking Agile Marketing With Jonathon Colman

Thanks for a fun interview, Ben! It's hard to follow in the footsteps of John Doherty and Anthony Pensabene, but I hope that these agile marketing and content strategy resources will help us continue to move things forward.

A question for you and your readers: how are you moving from SEO to content strategy? Not just content marketing, but the Big Picture: content governance and policy, the lifecycle on content, mapping the content systems and processes at your organizations, etc.

How do folks out there work with content as part of their holistic user experience?

Re: What I Wish I Would of Known in College to Get My Dream Job Faster!

Man, Ben. I just sent this to my sister, who's still up in the Burg. She wants to work in an art museum. I told her a while back that she needed to start a blog and curate art that she finds online so she could show potential employers her curating capabilities.

I laid out the benefits. She still hasn't acted on it. I'm hoping that you become the second of "two or more witnesses" :) to prompt her to make the decision.

I hope she reads this post.

Re: Talking Content With Anthony Pensabene

Genuinely great guy!
